The IEO-grants are for the purpose of covering the registration cost of 10 students (MSc or PhD students), research staff without a funded project and/or unemployed research scientists.

Study of the life traits of demersal fish in Atlantic Iberian waters.



Beneficiaries may be persons in one of the following situations:

  • Doing a doctoral thesis or a master’s or equivalent research in a research center
  • In a postdoctoral stage in a research center, within 3 years of having been awarded their doctoral degree.
  • Unemployed research scientists.
  • Research staff without a funded project.


They must also meet the following requirements :

  • Not be members of the ISOBAY Organizing Committee or Scientific Committee.
  • Less than 40 years old on December 31, 2020. In special situations, older applicants may be considered.
  • No concurrence with other sources of funding.
  • Those presenting orally will be given priority over poster presentations.
